The Grand Seiko SLGC006G Evolution 9 Tentagraph is a limited-edition mechanical chronograph that combines Grand Seiko’s Evolution 9 design language with the high-beat Calibre 9SC5. Produced as a limited edition of 300 pieces, this Tentagraph features a distinctive copper-pink dial inspired by the ridgeline of Mount Iwate, visible from the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi.

The watch is constructed from high-intensity titanium with ceramic and 18K rose-gold components, giving the 43.2mm chronograph a combination of durability, lightness and refined finishing.

Copper-Pink Evolution 9 Dial

The copper-pink dial is one of the defining characteristics of the SLGC006G. Its textured pattern draws inspiration from Mount Iwate and the landscape surrounding Grand Seiko’s mechanical watchmaking studio.

Gold-toned hour markers and hands complement the warm dial, while the chronograph arrangement provides dedicated displays for elapsed time. The date aperture is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock to preserve the dial’s overall legibility.

A black ceramic tachymeter bezel surrounds the dial, adding contrast to the copper-pink design while providing the traditional tachymeter function associated with high-performance chronographs.

High-Intensity Titanium Case

The 43.2mm case is crafted primarily from Grand Seiko’s high-intensity titanium, with ceramic and 18K rose-gold components incorporated into the construction.

The case measures approximately 15.4mm thick and 51.5mm from lug to lug. A box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the transparent sapphire caseback allows the Calibre 9SC5 to be viewed from the reverse side.

The screw-down crown and 100-metre water resistance give the watch practical protection for everyday wear.

Grand Seiko Calibre 9SC5

At the heart of the SLGC006G is the Grand Seiko Calibre 9SC5, a self-winding mechanical chronograph that also supports manual winding.

Operating at 36,000 vibrations per hour, or 5 Hz, the high-beat movement provides approximately 72 hours of power reserve. Grand Seiko designed the movement with twin barrels and a Dual Impulse Escapement to support its high operating frequency while maintaining a three-day power reserve.

The chronograph incorporates a column wheel and vertical clutch, with a three-pointed hammer designed to return the chronograph displays to zero simultaneously.

Calibre 9SC5 contains 60 jewels and provides the time, date and chronograph functions, including 30-minute and 12-hour counters.

Titanium Bracelet

The Grand Seiko SLGC006G is fitted with a high-intensity titanium bracelet designed to complement the Evolution 9 case. The bracelet measures 23mm at the lugs and uses a three-fold clasp with push-button release and adjustment provisions.

The clasp includes an 18K rose-gold Grand Seiko medallion, providing a subtle connection to the rose-gold elements used elsewhere in the watch.
