The 126710GRNR features a 40mm Oyster case crafted from Rolex Oystersteel. The case uses Rolex’s Oyster architecture with a monobloc middle case, screw-down caseback and screw-down Triplock winding crown.

The combination of Oystersteel, sapphire crystal and 100-metre water resistance gives the watch the practical construction associated with Rolex Professional watches.

Grey and Black Cerachrom Bezel

One of the defining features of the Rolex 126710GRNR is its two-colour grey and black Cerachrom bezel insert.

The bidirectional bezel is graduated for 24-hour readings and works together with the GMT hand to display a second time zone. The Cerachrom ceramic construction is designed to provide resistance to corrosion, scratches and ultraviolet light while maintaining the bezel’s colour.

The monochromatic grey-and-black bezel is the reason this reference is widely known among collectors by the nickname “Bruce Wayne.”

Black GMT-Master II Dial

The watch features a black dial with Rolex’s highly legible Chromalight display. The distinctive GMT-Master II 24-hour hand provides an additional time-zone indication, while the central hour, minute and seconds hands display local time.

The date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock and is accompanied by Rolex’s Cyclops lens over the date.

Rolex Calibre 3285

Inside the Rolex GMT-Master II 126710GRNR-0003 is Rolex’s Manufacture Calibre 3285, a perpetual mechanical self-winding movement developed specifically for the GMT-Master II.

The movement provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve and incorporates Rolex’s GMT mechanism, allowing the wearer to display a second time zone while independently adjusting the local hour hand.

The calibre uses a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex high-performance shock absorbers. The completed watch is certified as a Superlative Chronometer, with Rolex specifying precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing.

Jubilee Bracelet

The 126710GRNR-0003 is fitted with a five-piece-link Jubilee bracelet in Oystersteel.

The bracelet is secured by an Oysterlock safety clasp and incorporates Rolex’s Easylink comfort extension system, which allows the bracelet length to be increased by approximately 5mm.

The Jubilee bracelet gives this GMT-Master II a different visual character from GMT-Master II references fitted with an Oyster bracelet.

GMT Function and Travel Time

The GMT-Master II was developed around the needs of international travellers. The additional 24-hour hand can be used to display a reference or home time against the 24-hour Cerachrom bezel.

The local hour hand can be adjusted independently in one-hour increments without stopping the movement or affecting the minutes and seconds hands. This allows the wearer to adjust to a new time zone while maintaining the reference time.
