The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 310.30.42.50.01.002 is the sapphire-crystal version of the modern Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, combining the collection’s historic chronograph design with Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861.

Presented in stainless steel, this 42mm Moonwatch features a classic black dial, tachymeter bezel and stainless-steel bracelet. The model is distinguished by its sapphire crystal on the front and transparent sapphire caseback, allowing the manually wound movement to be viewed from both sides.

Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Design

The 42mm stainless-steel case measures approximately 47.5mm from lug to lug and 13.18mm thick. The black dial features luminous hour markers and hands, while the chronograph layout provides running small seconds, elapsed minutes and elapsed hours.

The black tachymeter scale surrounding the dial is designed for calculating average speed over a known distance, reinforcing the Speedmaster’s original motorsport-oriented chronograph character.

OMEGA Calibre 3861

At the heart of the 310.30.42.50.01.002 is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. This is a manual-winding mechanical chronograph movement with a Co-Axial escapement and a 50-hour power reserve.

Calibre 3861 is Master Chronometer certified by METAS and is designed to resist magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. The movement incorporates a free-sprung balance and silicon balance spring.

The sapphire display back provides a view of the movement’s finishing while maintaining the practical character of the Moonwatch.

Stainless-Steel Bracelet

The watch is fitted to an OMEGA stainless-steel bracelet with a foldover clasp featuring a comfort setting. The bracelet uses the modern Moonwatch design and can be adjusted by removing or adding links for an appropriate wrist fit.
