The Grand Seiko SBGH365 is an exceptionally rare Heritage Collection timepiece created exclusively for the Grand Seiko Madison Avenue boutique in New York City. Limited to just 55 pieces, this special edition combines Grand Seiko’s classic 62GS-inspired case design with a distinctive textured ice-blue dial.

Produced in 2024, the SBGH365G features the sharp, highly finished surfaces associated with Grand Seiko’s Heritage Collection and is powered by the brand’s Hi-Beat 36000 Calibre 9S85.

Textured Ice-Blue Dial

The defining feature of the SBGH365 is its textured ice-blue dial. The dial creates a changing visual effect as light moves across its vertical texture, complementing the faceted hands and applied hour markers.

The clean dial layout displays hours, minutes, central seconds and the date, maintaining the high legibility for which Grand Seiko’s Heritage Collection is known.

The combination of the cool blue dial and polished stainless-steel case gives the SBGH365 a distinctive appearance while retaining the restrained proportions of the classic Grand Seiko design.

The SBGH365 is powered by Grand Seiko’s Calibre 9S85, a Hi-Beat 36000 automatic mechanical movement.

The movement operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour, or 5 Hz, and provides approximately 55 hours of power reserve. It contains 37 jewels and supports automatic winding as well as manual winding.

Calibre 9S85 provides the hours, minutes, seconds and date functions and is designed to deliver Grand Seiko’s high level of mechanical precision.

The SBGH365 was created as a special Grand Seiko boutique edition for the brand’s Madison Avenue location in New York City. Production was limited to only 55 individually numbered pieces, making the reference significantly scarcer than standard-production Grand Seiko Heritage models.

Documented examples from the secondary market have appeared with Grand Seiko boxes and papers, with some examples also accompanied by an additional Grand Seiko leather strap.
